Common Core and OER Commons Trainings
The OER Commons community is at the forefront of supporting states’ Common Core standards implementation. With our new OER integration services and our Common Core professional development delivered by curriculum specialists, we provide educational agencies with the content, tools and support they need to find, create, organize and share OER internally and between agencies.
We’re working with agencies as they identify and organize OER for teachers. States are sharing original content by uploading lesson plans, best practices, and demonstration units to OER Commons’ Open Author. Participants report the high value in OER Commons’ ability to align resources to new standards, as well as to evaluate content quality using the EQuIP and Achieve OER Quality rubrics on the site. We are building collections of priority OER to support the Common Core, including exemplars, math sets and illustrations, instructional units and other central supports.
To enrich your state’s professional development around Common Core implementation, please contact Samantha Wayne. To customize the OER Commons experience for your state or district through our OER integration services, please contact Lisa McLaughlin.
